Die

It's that time of year again when i feel the need for change in hair colour and i just can't decide what i want to do with my hair! I'm set on dip dying it (like always), i hate dying the whole of my hair just in case i mess it up, although i have no idea what colours i want to dye it. I'm thinking pastels?

Not so secret obsession...

You know that guilty pleasure band/artist that you love? Could be Justin Bieber or Scissor Sisters, hopefully neither but mine has forever been Mcfly and they're new song was released 2 days ago and i think that everyone should have a listen! The video is brilliant and has the entire band acting out all different album covers and scenes from I'm a celeb and Strictly come dancing which some of the members participated in. So yeah, amazing video, take a look!

Past times

I've never really been one for an XBOX or a PS3, I'm just not a fan of the new games if I'm honest (Although I do love a good game of zombies or Undead Nightmare) however, every now and then I kind of re-live my child hood playing on Playstation and Playstation 2 games and tonight I'm really feeling the need to  release my inner child. Here are a few of my favourite...

Love the soundtrack to Pro Skater 4! I probably owe this game for my entire taste in music, AC/DC, The Distillers, Flogging Molly, Iron Maiden, Less Than Jake, Public Enemy, The Sex Pistols, System of a Down, the list could go on. The fact that I've been playing it since I was about 8 probably helps as well.

Spent the majority of my time on Jak and Daxter, probably because in the first 5 minutes of the game it says crap and at the age of 8 that was the best thing ever. I just generally love walk-through's and this was probably my favourite child hood game although Star Wars Battlefront comes pretty close.

Tim Burton book. Want it.

Tea for one.

New project time. I've just received a new mixed media project based on pattern (which i'm not a massive fan of), trying to turn a 2D pattern into a 3D pattern is not how i imagined myself spending my Sundays when i signed up at UCLAN but hey ho can't all be winners. To try and make it more interesting for myself i'm using tea bags. You read that right. Here's some 'tea bag art' that's already out there and that i'm hoping to live up to, ENJOY!

Especially love this last one.

Turn the record over.

For anyone who hasn't already heard of this band, SHAME ON YOU! I am here to educate. But seriously, this band is ridiculously underrated. They're music is amazing! And Brian Fallon's voice is unbelievable. The Gaslight Anthem are currently touring in Europe and i didn't manage to snatch up some tickets for Manchester Apollo in time but if anyone is going to any of they're tours i'm awfully jealous!

Student life ey?

The majority of students would be getting excited over nights out and eating a decent meal but only I would get excited over wool...and look at what i just splurged on! I've just got a new rag rugging project and i genuinely couldn't resist a trip to Aberkans.

Found this beauty for £6, thought i was going to do a little squeal in the shop. I got this along with some silk sari rags and they look too lovely to use so i think i'm going to save them for myself instead of on uni projects.

Here's just a little sample that i made for my current project using fabric scraps that i've tied together to make into yarn. I love the colours in this and really want to push them forward as a colour scheme for my decaying project.
